I only flew mine twice, but flew it at 100mm and it was fine, so that`s a good range, 100-110mm.

GC measuring point

Where are you all measuring the CG from? Where the manual shows, or from wing LE where it meets the fuse?

Just want to confirm, Thanks!

Yes, I measured from the front edge of the wing in the saddle area.

I just flew mines on the cc ice 100, no problems. im not downing HK. but both esc from there gave out on me, DLUX 100a and the 90-100a HK brand.
on landing one of my landing gear didn't come down, I had to belly land it.
the belly pan was just scraped up a bit. everything else was good, I slowed it down as much as i could before it wanted to snap,

RC Lander makes a retract set for it. They might just sell the struts too.

Very Nice RC Lander Unit:

Not sure if they would sell just the strut. worth asking though...

Not sure if it is going to work but I have already bought all the components below:
Retract: http://www.hobbypartz.com/pz-15090-retract.html
Strut: http://www.hobbypartz.com/exi-jet-me...ndgearset.html
Main Tires: http://parkrcmodels.com/product_info...oducts_id=1089

Nose Tires: TBD. Have not fund suitable ones yet. Looking for 1.75: dia tires.

Unfortunately, I can't test this system until next year. The Northwest rain is upon us. There is pretty much no flying until next summer

Could You take pics of the plane with gear down with tires etc?

I was thinking of same set up. It makes sense, those struts for Hobbypartz and HK are decent quality but the tires they come with are a lil small.

Thx for any input

I don't know how these compare to the T-45 electric retracts and struts from RC Castle, but I tried them on my JT T-45 and they weren't even close to holding up to the 9.8lbs.Went back to the air retracts.FYI.

Here is a bit of video:

I used 2" Klett tail wheel for the nose gear. It does not look too bad... Had to add a 1" extension between the retract and the strut so the plane sits correctly (with a slight nose up attitude). The nose retract placement need some work so the nose wheel does not protrude beyond the OML. The stock steering servo location is not going to work. Going have to make some changes.

CMP T-45 nose gear (0 min 15 sec)

CMP T-45 Main Gear (0 min 12 sec)

If the retract does not hold up, I can always go to the e-flite retracts.

BTW. I loaded the airplane so the AUW is approximately 8.5 lb. The nose gear compressed approximately 1/4 of its travel, while the main struts settled about 3/4. When model is completed and CG is properly accounted for, I'll adjust the struts with appropriate spring rates

Eaticus---What is the total modified nose strut length measured from the bottom of the retract unit to the axle of the nose wheel???....And on the mains...What is the length of the strut from the bottom of the retract unit to the axle???

I reall like those wheels/tires for the mains...The size looks to be more scale-like than some others...
