Hey Marv have you fitted the ducts completely? I tried a dry run for fit and the short tube us too small (diameter) and I'm going to have to split it and tape it. The exit tube is perfect. But that short tube would no way no how fit either the fan or the the inlets.

Al,

I figure the Nue 1415 1.5Y would be a good choice same setup as my "JTM" Hawk, but it's 9lbs and it flys good on that setup on 4200mAH 35c's.
Marvin,

Wow nice, what servo's did you use?

Mine's is actually too long, but the fan fits perfect. Haven't fitted them completly yet. Just need the motor, calling Tam up today for one

Aileron's & Flaps Hitec 125mg's Elevators Hitec HS82mg's.

I started off with the Hitec 225's cause I've had bad luck with HS82's way to many times .

Oh I see what you did You put the slotted part INSIDE the inlets rather than over the top of them. I didn't try that.

Doesn`t look like the ducts are fitted well at all. If they are run like that, they will loose a bunch of power due to all of the turbulance. The plane might as well be run with out intake ducts and just use the wemo intake lip on the fan instead, if they aren`t going to be fitted any better than that.

That's why I said I would split the short duct and fit over the top of the inlets. The inlets are actually Ok buit the fitting of the short tube from inlets to fan is not great. Easy fix though! I'll post pics as I go. If it doesn't work like I want, Air Sally will make all our dreams come true

Yep, I`m sure someone who has basic modeling skills and knows what they are doing can make them work. Others, not so much I guess.

You got it .

When i install the fan i'll let you know with pictures

These duct are just like the F-4 was nothing should be sealed up until everythings fitted. Then the intakes will be sealed " some talk but don't have the actual plane to see for there self whats going on" if you know what i'm saying

To many know it all's
