Here's another.

It's not 4s
it's not a 70mm
it's not efficient like a Honda

It is heavy, hard to fly, and it is a hand launched Phase 3 F-16.......

173 mph Phase 3, F 16 (0 min 44 sec)

No blinking lights, and the antenna on the TX is straight.

Don's WickedRC is definitely an option to consider.

I picked up the MM esc fairing for my jet. I notice that the fairing will run right up to where I am installing the fan, but does not sit flush with the top of the fuselage. The fan shroud will sit flush and I was wondering if that disruption in the airflow where the shroud and the fairing meet will cause a problem? It appears that the fan will be pulling air from both sides of the esc fairing.

Also, how flush does the esc fairing have to sit up against the front? If I slide it from front to back, do I stop when the nose lays down flat? Or do I need to force it a little farther forward?

Its not efficient like a honda... LOL thats funny, actually no its not, must be the concussion playing tricks with my head

Goose: My 2W20 powered F16 was not 'that' fast, 200k is about the enjoyable limit for me when it comes to constant WOT flying with small models, I like to enjoy watching the model for more than 1.76 nanoseconds Give me a large model and 250k is no issue.

The 2W18 and wemo fan was the nicest 4s balance of all, 800w and 135mph so light and nimble, really flies like a jet, bank and yank, doesnt drop in turns unless you are really slow.

norstaroption: One of the old trusted 3s setups is the HET 2W motor, 4700Kv, running in the 6904 fan. Or a little milder in the Minifan. 50-55A in the 6904 fan and scoots along nicely.

Ok thanks, I was going to order the EDF combo electronics from hobbypartz at cheap price but wasn't sure whether to get the 64mm or the 70mm.

I'll check your recommendation also. I fly 90% helis but would like to fly a jet when the sky is crowded so I'm not planning to put a lot of cash in it.

ok, so i can now officially start on my f-16, i am planning on running the 70mm rc lander 5 blade fan setup with a 60 amp esc and a 3500 4s battery. i have box sheeted the pylons in 1/64 bass wood with epoxy in addition to the reinforcement suplements the kit included. i have hogged the canopy to acomidate my battery and reinforced with some flat carbon rod. i am thinking of glassing the battery compartment along with adding some arrow shaft carbon to the wing joins. i have fitted the lander fan unit into the duct at the recomended location the supplement suggests for 70mm 4 s setups. i will check cg once i am ready to officialy setup the fan unit. i am thinking of glassing the entire airframe but am unsure and may just wbpu rather then glass? i have the esc fairing kit and landing skid kit from morgan mills that i will be useing. im planning on metal or nylon gear servos, metal gear being the prime option but most expensive. if i do not glass my airframe should i put a carbon arrow shaft lengthwise in the fuse or could that be considered overkill for my setup? more to come
