So where do you suggest the CG be ? Set per manual or ?????

I built a new EF-16 and noticed that blue thread locker EATS through the EPS foam. I used it on the taileron pivots - which explains why my last EF-16 had loose tailerons (also spilled BTL but localized around the bushings).

Blue thread locker will also eat plastic, so be careful where you put it...

Didn't know if anyone posted this/noticed this or not, But Hobby people has the kit version on sale for $29.99 right now. So I ordered one.

The number of pages on the threads for this plane are pretty overwhelming, so I am going to ask if someone can post a good recipe for motor/fan combination. I already have some 4s 2650 mah lipos for my HK vampire, so I would probably use those. I would like to make this jet fairly quick, but I don't want to dump a fortune into it, or get into the whole glassing thing.
Thanks

Het 2w/20 6904 fan. Will work perfect with your batts. Solid 120 mph.

As mentioned above, the HET 2W-20 and 6904 EDF is a great (light) 4s combo good for 120mph. Your 2650 mAh lipos are perfect. You'll need a 60A ESC.
Use a soup can with some 80 grit sandpaper to enlarge the fan mounting area diametrically. Mount the Fan 2" farther aft than the stock position, to compensate for the added weight of the bigger batts and ESC.
We can assemble the EDF and dynamically balance the EDF for you don't want to do it.
HP F-16s are great. We have setups from 750-2400W

Early video of the F16 with 2W20/6904 combo, very affordable setup that works well in the F16, with 2600 45c packs a little down the track it was an easy 125mph.

I have the cheap Detrum 70mm setup in my first EF16. I have almost lost it twice due to signal failure / glitching on my DX7 and an Orange RX with Satellite. I swapped in an A6000 and had the same thing. Could it be vibration from the fan? I tried to remove the rotor but cannot get the screw lose on it. I have the 2w20 6904 for the next build. I like this plane, just scared to fly it due to the glitching, almost plowed it in last time up. It was very close, got it back at the last second just inches off the deck. Any input? I have a AR6200 with sat I can toss in it. Im to the point of sending my radio in for an update just to be sure.

Is the light on the receiver blinking when you land?
