Steph, I plan to use reliable, sturdy air retracts without air leaks & constant maintenance issues.

For me that means Springair 602's (or Behotec or Jet-1A) ... Nowadays I don't have the time to fiddle endlessly with unreliable junk retracts.

Keith thanks, I think I will keep them for looks.

CMP offers their own set of retracts, but it's not available yet :

The rudder linkages are nicely made & internal.

The large rear bottom fuse hatch allows maintenance work to be performed, should the need arise

Here's one example of the relatively nice glass work these guys do ...

The glasswork is significantly cleaner, thinner & lighter then e.g. the Tam F-16. No spread of epoxy on the fuse inside like it's expired peanutbutter.

As viewed from the top, it seems they enlarged the intakes quite a bit ... the Sapac Hawk looks a bit more streamlined.

Note the intake bulges extending all the way to the wing TE.

Not sure on the motor yet, but it will be 9S 3000's for sure - simply because of using 3S x 3 I already have in quantity ...

So that means a kv in the 1400-1500 range. Possible motor choices are Neu 15xx, Arc, HYK or something else.

Hello again!

Herb it because I'm from Spain and worst is yet to capital, if not an island called Tenerife, but still is very expensive shipping costs, I brought a year and a half to fly fly Bae is bigger than from Germany only $ 60!

I see you chose the Spring Air 602, is what I carry in the Sniper and the truth that she seems a good train, but you have to find now are some good legs to cushion the landing and not suffer the plane I'm still looking around for the Sniper!

The truth that these that come in the picture look good, but I do not know how to get them!

Greetings.

Yes indeed they look good, and that's all we can say for now

I prefer my planes to look good in the air ... a ton of extra weight is maybe fine for internet flying.

Maybe the CMP retracts will be a good deal ($75+$69) when they become available :

Herb,

Would a Hacker B50-10xl in a Midi-pro on 6cells be enough to fly this thing? Would 8 cells be too much?

How would that TGY 1800kv you talk about on 6cells compare to the above? the motor is lighter so it would lighten things up a bit.

When you get a chance, could you measure the depth at the retract mounts? What is the deapest retract housing that will fit?

Thanks,

Chad
