Jon I am so with you. I was loving this fall as I can't remember such nice weather all the way into the first week of December. But since then I haven't done a thing. I was so jealous watching your cool vid of you flying in the snow. Hope we see the sun one of these days.

Let me know when the temps hit 50 again... and I'll be there

There is a Sun advisory today, the clouds have parted to reveal a bright orange ball of fire. Unfortunately the temps will not get out of the 30's today. I may be heading to Barnes around lunch today.

I flew for a little while today. Yikes! Clear and sunny up here, but 13 degrees and wind about 8 mph. Beautiful day, and I knew there would be a ton of energy in the air. It was true. I had a sweater and 2 jackets on, a hoodie pulled tight over my head, and gloves. Wanted to try the Winterpostal Task 2. Did a few warm-up throws and trim flights, then started the timer and easily got three 5 minute flights on my first 3 throws. Time to set the plane and Tx down, stuff hands in pockets, and walk a couple of brisk laps around the field to get blood moving again. Then proceeded to get two more 5 minute flights on my next two throws. The air was truly amazing. Too easy. Huge vertical movement everywhere, both up and down; but the lift was fairly easy to stay in. Couldn't stand the cold any longer and quit with nearly frozen fingers, ears, and toes. Good times!

Just FYI, Ken and I are planning to fly at Barnes on Friday afternoon, probably around 2:00 PM (assuming of course the world doesn't end that day ). Forecast is for sunny and 42 (wow, like summer!). Come join us if you can.

Man, I hope we can get weather like that for the 29th.
