What do you all think about doing our next contest out at the sod farm in Eagle Mountain?

Good place for the next Utah County contest. But it's an even longer drive than the Vineyard farm for me (in minutes anyway) . But I'm OK with it if that's the general consensus. I'm also fine with Galena Park or the Pack sod farm in Farmington.

I agree with Mike that it's a good place for the next UT county contest. I find it hard to believe that we can't find a place in SL county to hold a contest.

I may not be flying this contest anyway, due to my work schedule.

What about the park behind the Taylorsville Rec Center? 4870 S. 2700 W. I fly there often. If I knew how to do Google Maps, I would show a link.

One of the heats from today's pylon races. Tell me that doesn't look fun (even though a girl passed me at the very end for the win!).

Looks like lots of fun, if you like trying to steer a guided missile going mach 1, and trying to keep your balance while spinning around 10 times. That's not flying. It's horizontal rocketry, in a circle. Oh well, to each his own...

Is that the Eagle Mountain sod farm?

Thanks Jon. I saw those streaks and thought it looked like sod cuttings. Adrian and I are looking around the valley that are less susceptible to wind for flying fields. Based on peoples suggestions I have the following on my list to check out. Included are people's comments to remind me what I am looking at:

What about the park behind the Taylorsville Rec Center? 4870 S. 2700 W

7200 South park would be a great spot

other SL County site possibilities
there are some good possibilities around the Stonebridge Golf Course area (2500 S. and west of Bangerter). For future possibilities, someone down there should check out these locations

Yes that's Eagle Mountain sod farm. There wasn't a lick of wind all day yesterday and there were a couple dust devils visible in the distance somewhere almost all the time. And there's not a tree for miles!

Oh it's silly to spin around while flying but perfectly ok and manly to spin around just before flying?
