No problem. Deer creek reservoir is closer, I would stay there, and fish the middle Provo, if you're looking for the closest.

Looking for the best... We don't get to fish in Utah very often and want to fish in beautiful places. Actually catching fish is secondary. It's like challenging conditions at a contest... if it's too easy it starts to become mundane. Of course there has to be trout in the river. Reminds me of the once-great Green River below Flaming Gorge.

The other day when it seemed to be lift everywhere and the thermals were booming, the task was still hard. The problem is, you Canot get the thermal on demand and so between cycles can mess you up bad!

There's lot's of places that are as good or better than the Provo,
but run-off is going to make most of them un-fish-able. Provo's probably your
best bet this time of year.

Flytrip, we're looking for good spots come September. So any suggestion is welcome. BSOUT is the next big contest locally when we'll get the big guns coming in from out of state.

John J, I grew up floating that section of the Green. I never caught any huge trout but saw plenty of them, course my priorities back then weren't always focused on fishing

We are talking about a September fishing trip here boys.

I would say if you are coming to Utah you might as well take the 2 hour drive to the Uintas and really tear it up.

September in the Uintas=happiness

We are all looking forward to a challenging contest. Even us not-so-big guns.

I fished it first time in 1986. Remarkable fishery. Those days are gone...

Jim and I had a nice evening. No rain from 7:07 to 7:57.

ZERO lift, just areas w/o as much sink as others.

COLD..........

Practiced tip catches. Other than running the wrong way after catching, some of them were not total disasters..........

I managed to fold my vertical stabilizer twice today on the B3. The skin cracked open on one side and just creased on the other. I came home from my noon fly and put some thick CA down in the crack because it dries slowly and generally has a good bond.

I went out again this evening and folded it again in the same place. I am just wondering how I should fix it, if anybody has any good ideas? I am thinking I should just replace it, but that means I am out of commission for a while.

PS, it was a long time ago that I discovered the joys of gliders. Here is me and my Cularis on one of those magical nights we get were the Alpineglow and sunset which makes purdy things extra purdy.

PS, Jim, if no one objects I think the gorilla glue option would be perfect. Take a pic and see what others say, but I think you open up the would, mist the wound, and then take a toothpic and transfer small amounts of white gorilla glue into the wound and then wait and once it goes off enough to cut the excess that squirts out as it expands, and then a small strategically placed piece of extreme tape to finish her once the gorilla glue is cured.

I could help you if needed. We need you there on Saturday, flying....
