Ok so what is everyone flying?
What ships are in the repair hanger? What ships are in the graveyard? What ships are on order? My taboo is near the graveyard but I might fix it to sell someday. Currently flying a blaster 2 and concept CX. I have a used 11oz Polaris and 9.5oz Stobel V2 on the way. |

Looks like you are armed as well as anyone in our group now Randy. I have 3 flyable Polari plus another new Polaris kit on the shelf, and a new SuperFr3aK currently on the build bench (maybe maiden this weekend).

Regarding our next monthly contest on the 26th... Where shall we hold it? My wife is actually hoping we will have it down south somewhere (in Salt Lake or Utah county) so I can drop her off at a baby shower. Any opposition to swapping the north/south location this month and doing it down there (Galena, Sod Farm, Alpine park, Art Dye)?

Well I have tasted a quality ship in my repaired concept and I figure getting two more repaired/damaged top ships was cheaper than getting one new top ship or even a medium ship. Plus as you know I am still crashing things. I do blame my bsout crash on a Brownout. No more single antenas for me. 6106 for sale. I am not sure I could handle crashing a brand new ship. I have nightmares about doing the Carlos. But i guess tossing my taboo into my own Sun shade/sod when I hadn't switched planes on the tx was about all the horror I can stand.
The stobel has some RDS trouble that I hope is the usual problem. Sounds like servo works. The Polaris rx went dead at launch at the Poway and tore the left wing off. It sounds like it has been repaired strong but kinda heavy at 11oz. I might convert to a lefty but my shoulder feels better. At least I sleep most nights without Advil. So my ships are not top competitors in light winds (stobel guy says its 9.5-10oz and repair should nit add weight so it might be a sleeper) and for sure not with my hands on the controls. So much skill, practice, air reading, high tossing in this hobby sport. This is a crazy sport BTW. I mean if flyfishers went through rods like even you top guys go through dlgs. Is It my phone or do you others have characters 10 back from the cursor delete? Makes it hard to edit. |

I would be in favor of doing it further south as well because my wife is also going to a baby shower in Utah County (hers ). SFOL would be great. This will likely be my last contest for a little while.
Randy, I'm still flying my Predator II almost exclusively. My backups are a Mystic and a HM51-foiled DLG that doesn't have a name, but they don't get much air time. I've been deciding whether to order another Predator or wait until I've got my new design prototyped to see how it compares. If it turns out that I like it better than the P2 I probably won't be buying any more DLGs for a while. |

RC Groups + my phone = Jacked up post. Like more jacked up than usual!!!!!!
Also, Knock on wood, my DLG's live very long pleasant lives! I am pretty sure my preflight practice of pulling full flaps before every launch alerts me to wrong model, no battery, etc, problems. I have also quit turning off my TX until I am 100% certain I aint flying any more!!!!! |

Congrats B, any news on who the mother is?????
Yep, thats how it starts, say goodbye to all the things that were easily done, and welcome to "Our" world. Dont worry, its even better than DLG!!!!! |

Alpine is to small for a small contest. The trees have really rooted and they all grew 3' this summer. Don't overlook butler middle school in the future. I knew some if you were getting new fleets or updating. My taboo actually got longer hang times than my Blaster 2? Getting two used top ships for the price if s mystic and electronics and already built seemed like a good path for me.
