WOW, but why??? It is so heavy!

For the same amount you can have this baby Turnigy DS480 Digital Servo 1.85kg / .068sec / 10.9g

And because they are not cheap this is a great substitute if on a budget D922MG Digital Metal Gear Servo 1.8kg/ 12g/ 0.07sec

Probably because it works better

I am using a MKS ds8910 and its about as heavy, but awesome

Much better than d922mg.

Edit: I use the PRO servo mount so the servo is closer to the CG which makes correcting CG easier.

I still like this one for the tail. You have to be logged in and add it to your cart to see the real price - about $26

Getting closer I think...

Neither the Corona's or the HK servos are in stock. What about the Turnigy MG90S? Seems to have relatively good comments on the HK site.

The Orange receiver and the Gyro are on back order too.

The Orange RX are nearly always on backorder, it usually takes less than a week to get one allocated, they were getting several hundred a day delivered while I was waiting for mine.

Deal Extreme do the same gyro, branded mystery. Free delivery from HK but it can take several weeks to arrive.

I feel you here. I just completed my first build, and also ended up having to compromise on some parts due to not wanting to wait on backordered items. I also ended up sourcing a couple parts from different stores.

I have 2 of these and 2 of the other ones and only the orange rx gave me a moment when it lost signal for about 1/10 of a second while flipping. I think the antenna was pointing right at me. The other ones have 2 antennas and I arrange them 90 deg to each other so I think they have less chance of signal shadow.. no pucker moments yet. However, I have had 2 more of the parkflyers on order for a while now and no sign of being in stock.

Check out the flydream kit ,it is rock solid and very cheap with failsafe and easy to buy,,can convert any transmitter to flydream so no need for new tx to use.i have this in two planes and my 450 and not a single twitch to report, chan hopping also. https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show....php?t=1207547

I'd need all new rx's? Nah that's OK.. I have no issues with Spektrum, just between the orange and the park flyer receivers, I'd choose park flyer.

Thats fair enough,,the best thing about the flydream kit is that once you have your planes and helis set up you can change your tx any time you like ,to any make tx you like because the diy kit can be put into any tx,,,just solder 3 wires and thats it,just like the old days before 2.4 you can just buy your flashy new top of the range tx and never stress about having to change all the rxs so in the long run its even cheaper than it first looks oh ye they just brought out a micro rx to cover all the bases

Mini Titan clone?

Does anyone know about this 450 clone that appears loosely based on the Thunder Tiger Mini Titan? http://www.xheli.com/newbofrexi45.html

HK are now offering flybarless Head upgrade...

http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...dProduct=14923

Has anyone tried to go FBL with the HK450? Is it a lot more difficult to fly?

It is quite hard to fly! I've tried it out last week (not that head - but $14 one). Anyway - that's head without any FBL 3 (or 2) axis controller!

If you get flybarless gyro - it is a bit easier than with flybar. But - then $10 cost of the head will be completely insignificant in comparison to price of flybarless controller...
