Plus the avionics are running off their own 2S 370mAh battery. The 3S 2200 only runs the motor.

On the subject belt conversion, I converted my HK450Pro FBL to belt using this gearbox:

And this boom mount:

I think that boom mount is intended for a TT, but I'm using it with a belt and it seems to work fine.
How cool ,,,,i have flown my old 450 tarrot with a 4500 mah lipo put between the skids so they can carry quite a bit of weight,,,post more vids as you go dude.

Yeah, eventually I'm going to put 2 3S2200 packs in parallel. I also have some Spinblades Asymmetric blades to try out. I'm hoping to be able to get 15 minutes flights out of it at least. 20 would be nice. Then I'll probably be using it for FPV training.

All of this is in prep for the 700 UAV heli.

I can fly!

Break through weekend for me.

Up to 42 flights without a crash on my hk450gt.

Only basic hovering and side to side until this weekend when it "clicked" I can now do nose in stuff and forwards flight no problem.

The last flight I even ran at idle up. Still to scared to try any 3d stuff but I'm on my way!

How do you guys count the number of flights? One flight is defined as one battery pack ran down or is it one session of many battery packs flown?

I use fine tip marker and mark the battery with a small line after each charge.

Some pilots keep a flight log.
I was never disciplined enough to stick with it and was lucky to have the time to just fly a pack.

I've been an addict a long time, this time its helis.

I mark the inside of the canopy after each flight with a sharpie to count the flights. Some times I forget.

You guys count? I can't even keep track of my spare parts, I try to keep them organized. Hoping to hover my first 450 today if the wind dies down a bit at mid day. A good day at the field is when I have to discharge fewer batteries than I charged before I left!
