I don't buy those blades. I never have. I buy the pro 3D blades just like zaihan's video.

Thanks, pitchp. Great to see, but I felt sorry for those tail blades.

If I build it, it will fly
That was a great tail... not a 450 though. Any word on full line release or 500 soon & others to be announced?

Hi team thanks for the advise regarding the blades. I will change them over to the stock blades tonight.

I put another pack through my her today. Fiddled with the gyro gain to get the tail to stop wagging. Also had to put in a lot of trim in rate mode to stop the drift. Is this the right way to fix the drift or should I do some mechanical adjustment.

Yes, I know it's upside down.

You should not use trim to stop rate mode from drifting. If you do this, then when you switch to heading hold, it will see the trim as a rudder input and will start to rotate the heli.

The correct way to do it is to set the rudder trim to zero, and then mechanically adjust the length of the tail control rod to get minimal drift in rate mode.

Thanks Harrow, I have made some adjustment to the push rod, will try it out tomorrow.

I did notice my radio (hitec optic 6) has separate trim adjustments for rate and hh mode.

Would be great if they could do the same for the 450 Pro...Might have a crash proof tail setup...well less the boom and tail blades...

I hear they're also coming out with carbide tipped tail blades, so your heli can do double duty as a table saw.....

So seeing that video on these new super durable tail gears makes me wonder if the Align 450 Sport belt drive gear (front vertical one) noted for being fragile? I had one to strip doing front flips and I was completely unaware of excess wear on it. I did purchased the heli used but no excess play was noticed and I had not crashed it or stuffed the tail.

While browsing I noticed that just the nylon gears are sold as replacements which makes me think that they must be problematic. Pulling the tail drive gear / boom block is not a big deal and replacing the assembly or refreshing it with a replacement gear is not a big deal but I have never had to replace one on my Blade 400 which I had had for 4 years and it has been crashed numerious times.

Is there such a thing as a FBL and flybarred swashplate or is there no difference?

Just compared both my flybarred T-Rex 450 Pro and my FBL 450 Pro, both swash plates are the same mate.

The DFC swashplate is different. it has only 2 balls on the inner plate. Just useless bling IMHO.
