nahhh. CA is like glass dude, they crack too easily. I did use CA for my other pushrods, but the have the full metal rod inside the CF. Anyways, I'll bench test this bird tomo. I'll post it here, hopefully it works ok.

they work the best towards the middle of the boom and bind more as you move them outward as there is little flex as you get closer to the tail or to the servo horn.

I only have one bird left to mod with a CF mod rod, which is the BCPv2. it already has it, but it has the guide, I want to put my own custom cf rod mod

Plus those guides they move after a given time. I've put a zip tie under neath them, and they still move. So with the CF mod rod, that's one thing I don't need to worry about.

pitchp i wouldnt trust the heatshrink and epoxy , this is what i do with my planes on the pushrods with wooden dowels.
i drill a hole in the wood dowel and cut a groove it it to accept the metal rod, i put a L in the metal rod that holds the links. then i slide the Linto the hole lining it up with the groove and epoxy and heatshrink , this way the bond will hold it and the L will never let go . if you want i can get some pics of some pushrods.

jombo: yes please. I'm a bit lost on how you made the L shape part. and how it goes in the dowel.

I'm thinking of putting epoxy over the heatshrink for that xtra hold. It's a $2 "Super" epoxy.

You bend a 90 deg into the end if the metal rod and drill a hole at the end of the slot and slide the rod into the hole, now shrink, tape or wrap cotton around the rod and soak with cyno, the grove keeps the thing straight and the hole keeps length locked.
