The problem is with how SQL (the database that handles these threads) parses large threads.

They are having all of the threads that are hundreds of pages long closed to keep seek times down on the server. I'm honestly surprised they hadn't done it before now.

The 3dhobbyshop addict thread part 2 had 29,000 posts in less than year. That was a big thread (sad thing is that I have read every page) That thread was closed yeasterday and the part 3 already has 16 pages. There was and is some monster sized threads in here

The issue with using a 4s is weight, generally they are much heavier than a 3s that will fly as long.

This means that with a 4s you'll wind up having to add weight to the tail (literally weights of some type) in order to correct the center of gravity for the helicopter.

3s 2650 mah are about the largest batteries you're going to want to use on your helicopter. With a 212 gram battery (weight of the 2650) you'll wind up having to be extremely creative with mounting your electronics to get it to balance.

With the Flightmax 3s 2200mah 25c that most people use they are the perfect weight to balance the chopper out.

try to avoid back-ordered parts, it can get annoying.
For the tail servo i had good luck with a clone 9257 servo, and this might be comparable: http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbyking/s...dproduct=13422
shame its also on backorder.

Edit: turned out to be a bad idea. The gotec is not riliable

I've got a CF boom and stabilizers, with my current setup I have to put the battery as far up as it can go on the tray in order to balance out. That's with a Flightmax 3s 2200 25c that weighs 179 grams if I remember right.

correct me if I'm wrong! but won't lower Kv with higher volt's,just make more tourqe!

I've read though so many posts and threads,I do remember a couple guys, had used 4s,but can't remember why,are what the result was!

thanks the Kid

P.s. I will be getting the HK450MT
4s 2200 (stretched)

other info (blog)

If you stick with the 325mm blades, then 1800ma 4S. On a v2 with a Mini servo on the tail, I can push the battery about 1/2" farther back before it touches the frame. Flight times are great.
