Nice! The Cessnas that fly over the horizon don't seem to have enough power to do a barrel roll.

Corsair

Well, here's a vid of the Corsair. It's the heaviest of my bunch at 250g, but still moves out nicely. I swear that I had perfect bounceless landings on the previous flights, but it's all good in the end.

FlyFly Micro Corsair F4U (2 min 30 sec)

I will get P-51 video out there. Still trying to decide between another 4-blader, or just going directly to a 5x4.3 GWS prop. Then I just need somebody to go flying with me to hold the camera. I had several perfect P-51 flights when nobody else was there...

There's not much in there, but here's the instruction manuals anyway. Anybody may contact me for the CG that I've been using, but 25% root chord is a good starting point for these.

What kind of experience level would be needed to fly the cessna? I've been looking for a nice small scale cessna for a while and this one has the right look. By the way nice flying Will.

Skill Level: Intermediate

I'd say you should have at least two planes under your belt. Definitely 4 channel experience. I would also highly recommend a radio that has dual rates and expo.

When I read that, it makes it sound hard to fly. It's not. It's actually quite easy, but I am using expo, and I have an aileron to rudder mix on a switch that I'm still playing with.

The little bugger is fast when you open the throttle, but it doesn't have to be, and good throttle management comes with experience. Start with a wide open area on a calm day and you are good to go. All the usuals apply, double check your CG, throws, and control directions.

So, where do I place it? Definitely not a trainer. Skill level: Intermediate.

I personally can't wait to fly it again. If I can escape the snow, I'll get out and make some more video.

I'm also bringing them to the Holiday Electric Fly in Geneva Oh ( http://hef-rcexpo.com ) this weekend at a special pre-Christmas price. The place is huge, and if they'll let me land on the running track I'll fly these in there.

Dan

P.S. I'm tinkering with making the nosewheel steerable. More on that when I complete it.

Man I might have to make that show. It's about 200mi from C-bus. I'd love to see them all flying and snag a Corsair.

Too bad that I have a busy weekend (which Geneva, OH is about 5 hours anyway). Thanks for the info on the skill level. I use a dx6i so no problems there. I think I would like to get in a little more practice on my PZ F4F before picking one up. It's too pretty of a plane to mess up. Will you guys be supplying replacement airframes, wings etc?

Man the hours for the show are not good. Friday they don't start until 4pm. And then Sat and Sun not until 10am. I might not go. I would have gone on Friday in the morning. If I Lea e at 6am I can get there at 10 am. It'll be a game time decision.

They Fly Indoors! (Well, in a really large indoors....)

I thought the late afternoon start was a little weird too. I guess it turned out be a good thing. I had to work late on Thurs, and got to leave Fri. morning and still had time to set up on Friday.

It was a pretty fun show. I flew the Cessna and the Corsair in there. Nobody was around to video the Cessna, but I got the Corsair for you.

FlyFly Mini F4U Corsair Indoor Crash! (2 min 40 sec)

Not really a crash after all. It would have been a perfect landing if not for those meddling cones...

They're shipping right now. I may have to add them to the FoamFly site temporarily, but you can order by email, or PM right now. http://www.Ready2Hobby.com has a Google phone link near the bottom. That will contact me directly.
