Tony sent me some pics of the Migs he built. Two are for his two grandsons....can you tell which two?? They will more than likely not fly....more for display in thier rooms. The other two are his to fly....cmon Tony.....lets get them in the air! They look great!!

Hit a snag in my build. The correx I found is too narrow for the fuse to be cut from one piece. It's perfect for the wings though so I will cut another set so I will have a backup wing or maybe build two complete Migs.

I'm thinking that I will have to resort to actually buying some material ;eek. I can only get 4mm locally, I suppose that I'll end up with a sled.

It shouldn't be too expensive, last time I bought a sheet here it cost about R40 ($5.70) for a great big 2.5m x 1.2m (100" x 48") sheet.

The only local place that I checked (sign shop) wanted $42.50 for a 4x8 sheet of 4mm. I'm going to check around some more.

Can someone confirm the length of the fuselage template when scaled up to give a WS of 1320mm please?

The extra 15mm I add onto the front nose (stretch the nose), to lessen the nose weight.

Lovely, Cheers Sean. Need to read through the thread and note down all the changes I need to remember for the build (adding to the formers etc) today.
