Whats Black and has 24's?
GottaCuda's Avatar
Did you switch out your tires, both axles front and rear? If you did then your already set. Shes talking about going from a old style rim to the new ones. Post a pix of your rims and I can tell you by looking. You can always call Todd or someone at TERC also.

Are you asking me if I changed axles? No I didn't change anything. I have modified tires and rims already. My kart is also new. It was purchased three weeks ago.

Then your in good shape with nothing to worry about. Same with the shims. You'll only need to do what Ceri's doing if your going from old rims to new. Sorry if I confused you.

And she was always waiting for her stuff. It was shipped from China or UK. To me 3 to 4 weeks would get old real quick.

I seen you mounted your new rims and tires. What ya think? Way faster isn't it. Reason being is your roll out as we were talking about has now changed. Your new tires are larger than your older ones were. Take off will be slightly less but over all speed will be faster.

They made a big difference. The rears are the same size but wider. The fronts i noticed are larger than the old fronts. Handling is 120% better. I noticed that right off from the start.

I took a look at your kart Fixit. Looks great. About the tires? The rear width is no different. The new fronts are slightly wider than the old. This allows the karts to feel like a real kart.

If you need a tire conditioner give me a yell. I make my own and have for years. It'll keep your foam soft and clean.

My tires are new so I think I'm good for now. Robert sent me something if I choose to use it. Its a white lotion of some type for tires.

Wipe any extra off before sitting your kart up when not racing. It could damage certain finishes. Did you get a stand with your kart Fixit? If so then you have nothing to worry about.

Toby

When I was talking about rollout:

Tire Circumference x Transmission Ratio x (Spur x Pinion) = Final Drive Ratio

This is your rollout.
