6 You listen to what you want but don't show up at the track with kart in hand and green spiked hair. You'll scare the kids away. Sleigh Bells :O?

I'm excited my new rims and tires are here. I'll make time this afternoon and slip them on.

I think your kart will look killer with white rims. Post some pixs and let us see.

Ceri how did your front axles workout since your spacing was for the other rims? Curious to hear?

Ceri they had to issue me new axles. Mine were to short. The new rims do have a unique option. You can use flanged or non.

The new wheels went on fine. J ended up removing the inner shims though. If he didn't the outside bearing had drastic play. Feels good now. I'll take it for a test run soon

What shims you mean? Are you talking about your washers for the bearings? Surely not girl. The plastic spacer will rub the bearing and its housing. Keep your inner shims and if nothing else go with a different axle. You'll be much happier if I know you.

Mine aren't removeable but I have no intentions on going back to the older style rims. Once you go nonflanged you'll never go back. The nonflanged bocas seem to last longer IMHO.

You using thin or thick shims Ceri? I know where to find the thinker ones if you need to take care of some space up front.

I was just curious. See if you can find thicker ones. Not sure the size of mine but TA makes them. I have mine placed against the inside nylon spacer. I noticed last year sometimes flex was present and the bearing flange would rub the spacer. With the washer it doesn't because its thinckness pushes the bearing further out. I bought the ones I use online at A Mains.

They and many others carry them. I agree when I changed mine over I had to grab new knuckles because the axles were fitted to the older wheels. I think to change mine over was 15.00 for graphite axles, shims and steering blocks. It wasn't bad. I'm fitted now for non glanged only.

I guess with mine being new I don't need to worry. I am curious about the shims your talking about. I take it they take up space or are they for the bearings.
