ok guys i ran my numbers on the watt meter just now with my 3s and my 4s pack.
3s pack -
amps-32
whatts-330
@12.2 volts(i ran em on another plane of mine first but only less than a min)

4s pack-
amps-50
whats-730
@16.5 volts(same as above)

so there's 2 40 amp esc's in this 550, so im basically wondering if the numbers are handled by both controllers 100% each or 50-50%? if its 50-50 i imagine it should handle just fine. anyone wanna shed some light on this? thanks guys.

Stout,
Total amperage is 32 or 50, so each esc pulls roughly half.
I separated my esc's and each one is supplied by 3s 2200 pack.
I also changed motors to 4300kV with 2-bladed fans.
Each esc draws 25A, 270 watt and total thrust is 1350g (47.6oz)
I get 7-8 minutes wot.

I'm wondering what retracts would you or did you use for the dynam turbojet?

so are you saying it shoud be ok to run my 4s @50 amps because each esc pulls roughly half? i have a few 3s 2200 packs i might try and split my esc's too one day. do you know what the stock kv is on the motors? i am finding it really hard to get a grip on brushless motor numbers and matching edf's.

i used the nitroplanes 10 dollar dsr retracts. and there is a great pdf somewhere on the dynam Cessna 330 forum on how to make the stock nose strut steerable on the retract. (i used a tubing cutter to cut an e-clip groove in it). they work great.

You should be OK, but keep an eye on battery. At that high of a draw it might be a strain on it. Don't allow it to get too hot.
I have couple sets of retracts. Got to see which ones will fit the easiest.
This plane will benefit from them for sure.

Nitroplanes has a coupon for 10% off on Dynam planes.

When it asks you in checkout for a coupon type: DYNAM10

I tried to post link from my email from them, but it sends you to Dynam planes with no mention of the sale.

Here is short vid of Citation with 4300kV motors and 2 bladed prop, running on 2 2200mAh, 3cell, 20c batteries.
The more I fly it, the more I like it.

No I don't.
I couldn't find them. I have a servo less set from HK. Will see how they work.

Here is another vid I shot today.
Dynam Turbo Jet Cessna Citation II.mpg (5 min 5 sec)

I have to check if the motors I got can handle 4cell. Be interesting to see how fast can it go
