Quick question on this #11 808.

Has anyone experienced the "venetian blind effect" when using high pressure sodium or mercury vapor lighting?

[EDIT] Sorry guys, wrong thread.

Thanks Ken,

I can imagine someone doing it, possibly using ball end connectors and two servos... maybe not 180 degree or even 90 degree, but I can imagine someone doing it...

the real question is: If you can't see (in real time) where it's pointing, it might be difficult to figure out where you're pointing it towards... If you follow the HD key chain camera thread I can imagien that eventually they will come with an AV out plug or someone there will figure out how to hack into it to accomplish the same thing for super micro FPV! =D

Hey Richard,

Wow, I haven't even flown my Eyepods yet and you come out with this cool new plane !!

As far as moving the ball turret it would be cool to run the servos off a gyro to get stabilized pics of the area you set it to shoot.

Like Billy D Williams once said... Smooooooth...

a lot of people playing with that idea in this forum... beyond my electronic understanding...lol!

from what I understand some are going to a GPS authoritative input to keep the camera fixed to a ground position while the plane bounces around... I seem to recall reading about it just don't have a clue where...

the little scale military UAV is a fun project, the EyePlane is better suited for more serious AP being bigger, and more stable...

websites infected???

Just a heads up Jarel, I just tried going to the website www.jarelaircraftdesigns and my Kapersky AV is putting up a block on the site saying there is a Trojan virus that has infected the site, a "re-director" to send you somewhere else.
So I can't view your site!

I got a virus threat as well... I'll contact my host person right now (personal friend) to find out what's going on... This is beyond my knowledge/ability to understand or fix...

Best,
Richard

Interesting... I never knew a website could be infected?

Here's what's happening:

- you can configure your browser to contact a 3rd party service.
- the service will give warnings if the site is listed as doing some bad thing.
- one of the bad things is inadvertently hosting a virus file, often uploaded by a bad guy who has breached security
- many company computers are configured to use one of these services

So a bad guy could somehow break into your hosting service computer, upload a file "newplaces.jpg.exe" and link to it, hoping that somebody might download and accidentally execute the program thinking it was a jpg image.

so here's the latest...

There are no virus's on my website! That's the good news. The not so good news is that I'm still getting the same warnings both using google and by typing in the site address and going there directly. My host person is getting it on Yahoo, but not on Google...

more to come as I find out.
