New boat in my IACC 120 fleet, Jaguar GBR 75 from Team Origin

Team Origin - was set up in 2007, and had been waiting for three years to enter the America’s Cup, which was delayed when the US team, BMW ORACLE Racing, took the Swiss team, Alinghi, through the US courts.

The US team won the court battle and won the 33rd America’s Cup Match to become the America’s Cup Defender in February 2010. The new US Defender then announced change from mono-hull to catamaran format for the next 34th America’s Cup, meaning GBR 75 became redundant having never sailing in a AC regatta.

There was one bitter sweet for GBR 75. In August 2010 The Royal Thames Yacht Club and Team Origin hosted BMW Oracle in Cowes to compete for the 1851 trophy and the Trafalgar Cup for the match racing series which was successfully won by Team Origin, Jaguar ...

IACC 120 - Team Origin - Jaguar GBR 75 (5 min 35 sec)

nugg999, those 1/8 TS16's look quite nice. Any further information on them. Who manufactures them (you?) materials etc. Are they available?

Ed,
That boat of yours is beautiful. There are a few boats out there I'd really like to own, and that boat is one! Magnificant.
I am afraid their prices are tad beyond my current budget, but one can dream.
Thanks for sharing it with us

hi boomer,
the ac cup boat belongs to one of our club member, joseph, it is made by challenger yachts, all carbon fiber, mylar / kevlar sails and it has 2 armwinch servos to control the jib and main separately. this is her sailing next to an iom, notice the size difference.
