Does anyone fly this bad boy on 4S? what prop?

4s with 1000kv motor and 50 amp esc. I am thinking like a 9x5?

Hi,

this is my first FPV flight with HK 1800 epp plane. After 40second I used plane stabilization (Fy30A). I'm happy this plane, but not too much..

Are you still flying the twin boom version you built? I'm thinking of going that way my self but with dual vertical stabs for better yaw stability. This plane slides all over the place in stock form

I tried mine on 4S 35-42 1000KV with APC-E 10x5.

690W and 46A in statics (a little too much for my SK 35-42). It was just a little test, but sure... it pushes much better this big bird in the air.

You're right... 9x5 will be probably better adapted for 4S under 1000kV.

Heya Guys, Only had to wait 4 days and mine arrived last night (that's 30th November) - Hk Epp Fpv, put wings together so far, it's pretty big A few roughly manufactured parts as per rcplanereviews, so theyre still using that stock it would seem. cross spars are still atleast 3mm off, and left wing cut is too tough to bend without servo meltdown. So a few mods will be in order too.

Parts I ordered also came with it are as follows, 3536b 1400kv motor, 70A sbec and a pack of 11x4.7 slow fly blades, still to arrive is my 5000mah battery and a gopro hero3 black edition camera, it should be a beast when it's finished.

I'm flying this big bird since April this year. It's quite heavy, but it's flying okay. No hanging tail (if rudder is mixed to the ailerons). I am sure, that my component selection was not the best, but so what: 1450KV motor, 55A ESC and a small 8x5 prop.

No FPV at Tempelhof... (3 min 8 sec)

Allgäu trip (4 min 36 sec)

Amazing stuff! I will be getting an EPP-FPV this Christmas with a 1000mw transmitter and a patch antenna, with a 800mw 900mhz fpv video transmitter with Cloverleafs. Gopro hero 2 mounted. I should get up to a mile safely. Seems like half of you like and the other half not so much. I am anxious haha.
I will be running mine on 4s.

what if I down prop it? a smaller prop makes less vibrations and it is better for video, and how about setting a lower max throttle setting on a transmitter so that way I can't go wide open?

Really, the plane fly bad with alot of power. If you prop it down then your better off getting a 3s pack. I use 2 x 2650mah 3s. And packs are sooo much cheaper then 4s.

I am going to prove you guys that I will built one of the best EPP-FPV out there. I am going to make it handle 4S. Also a 6mile FPV trip.

You have to mix rudder with ailerons even when you get the cg correct.

Real planes will do the same thing if you don't use rudder.
