Looking to carry a gopro, plus fpv gear, and have the option of using either 2 2200mah 3's in parallel (already own a bunch), or possibly a 5000mah 3's, or occasionally only one 2200mah 3s.

Hoping to use rougly a 10x5 prop since I commonly have those (but would consider others)

Mainly looking for decent flight times around 20 minutes or more, and not to be underpowered.
HK NMT 3536 1400kv is perfect. You can Fly 20min with 3s 5000mah

Been thinking about it, but it is pretty expensive for a complete system... I might create my own...

I took my EPP out the other day. Fought the goofy yaw trim issues while flying it on goggles. When I came by for a 40' pass I heard an odd buzzing sound. Took my goggles off and came back by. Same sound. Noticed tail vibrating so bad it buzzed. It did this at about 26 mph airspeed. Landed safe. Tail boom and tail felt same as always but I guess the EPP cells are just shot. I added carbon supports to the vertical fin as that may be an issue and coated the lower aft fuse with epoxy. Have not taken back out yet to test. If it does it again I will retire it. Over 50 FPV flights with her. Zero crashes. She has been a pretty good plane even though the thrust angle has been an issue since new.

Sup guys, interested in this bad boy... how often do they come back in stock on HK?? Or does anyone have a kit for sale?

I have been running and Easy Glider Pro for a while doing some AP with a gopro up top, and I want something with more payload ability and more utilitarian use. This looks like a good fit, probably continue with my GoPro with pan/tilt mount as well.

How does she handle wind?? And what kind of flight times could I go for with say, a 3000mah 3s? (Just what I have on hand)

3000mah isn't enough battery. This baby is meant to hold a LOT of weight up front. I use a 5000mah 3S, plus a 1000mah for video, plus a GoPro on the nose. It drives like a school bus. Slow and steady. But it will stay in the air forever, and flies smooth.

Haha alright. Well I could run two in parallel or buy new batts.

Has anyone sanded/filled the foam and painted it? First, being so porous it would seem to be really draggy, as well as butt freakin' ugly. I've done other foams with filler primer, or with lightweight wood putty, but never EPP...

Definitely worth sanding down. You can cover the wings with laminate if you want them ultra smooth.

I would use a super light 1.5mil laminate. Tis is only for smoothness, not rigidity, so no sense in adding too much weight. Once you sand the wings smooth, the laminate sticks very well just using a hot iron, and the foam is pretty resistant to heat. No glue required.
