# Charts that show "Resting Voltage vs Capacity Remaining" for LiPO's?

Hi guys,

I asked this question once before about a year ago, but can't find that post.

Anybody have a link to those charts that show LiPO resting voltage, (for 1S, 2S, 3S, etc. batteries) vs capacity remaining?

I have an old and tattered 3S chart, and I need to replace it.

This chart's X axis is voltage from 10.9 to 12.2. Y axis is per cent remaining, from 0 up to 85, and there is a diagonal red line that shows the relationship, i.e., 11.6 = 50%.

 Nov 02, 2010, 08:56 PM Registered User Thread OP Thanks very much Hoppy and Gulio! The chart I have is a graph, it's gray and has a red diagonal line from lower left to upper right. It's the dangest thing, but i can't find my post, somewhere in the past, that asked for it, and I can't find any thread that shows it. I'm stumped. I have the printed graph right here, so I know I didn't imagine it. It's a handy graph, for 3S, which is what I fly almost entirely, and there was also one for 4S, 5S, etc., as I remember. It's tattered because I use it all the time; take it out and look at it when I check my batts to see whether I can fly some more on that battery. But it has the same info as you have supplied, so maybe I'll just print this out and use it. Thanks again!

 May 13, 2018, 06:36 PM Space Coast USA Voltage vs Capacity measurements have some variables but in general are good enough for modeler usage. The battery chemistry, age, use all affect the reading. My chart was based on a variety of packs, different brands, age, etc. Other charts may be from all new packs, same brand, etc. Some charts are made using discharge mah, others from charge mah. Expect some differences but none that would make them unusable.
 May 14, 2018, 09:17 AM Registered User I have used the curves to make a crude State of Charge readout and for me it's good enough. Measuring consumption is somewhat difficult and prone to errors so I rely on voltage to give me rough SOC on my Lithium powered golf cart.
