I wish I could help, but as long as my Tx and Rxs are working well I have never had the need to update them.

Where did your read that?
Updating the GR-24 PRO goes through the +T telemetry port. Please note that updating the PRO RX is done with the Slowflyer/Gyro Receiver downloader within the Firmware Upgrade Studio. |

GR-12 on F3B F3F
[QUOTE=....The German F3B team (2013 world champions) were using GR-12 receivers....[/QUOTE]
Hi, can someone explain me how to setup a GR-12 receiver for a F3B glider? I need to find a way to use the 6 channels. It seems that channel 1 is "reserved" for the throttle normally. 1 Throttle servo. (Right flap???) 2 Left aileron 3 Left rudder / elevator 4 Right rudder / elevator 5 Right aileron 6 Left flap Thanks for you help |

Dude, I've never been so pissed off at a radio than I was tonight!! Programming an electric F5J sailplane for a buddy and demoing the Tx as I'm thinking about transitioning from JR to Graupner....lol. Channel assignments are in place as a failsafe and for 100% no change, cement purposes. I went to setup butterfly and when I activated the throttle went full noodle. It changed my channel assignment from SL2 to S2 without warning. Later it changed full throttle to S1 right aileron. F this radio. There is no excuse for this. Never should a radio activate a motor on another channel. Only in a system menu should this be possible. Ridiculous!! Granted I'm new to the radio and I didn't read their stupid manual, but I am tenured enough to know what to expect from a CPU radio. NO Radio should ever dictate its own channel assignments while adjusting a sub menu program. The only way I would ever be ok with it is during a P-Mix. I am literally giving this radio back to my buddy tomorrow and saying "good luck" and "I recommend selling that POS"

I did the same thing with the motor starting just because I did something else TOTALLY non related. Scared the crap out of me.
As far as the channel assign and failsafe I'm not sure exactly what you mean but any channel can be freely assigned in both the Tx and Rx, and failsafe can be set to hold or specific travel for all channels. But I gave them up too. Partly because of the heavy weight of telemetry gear compared to what I have now. |

Just out of curiosity what did you switch to? I've been looking to give up graupner too for a while now...

Back to Spektrum.
They have caught up with all the telemetry features and most of the programming that I went to Graupner for and turns out are doing it much more "elegantly" with less weight. And with no concrete data to show me that they are ISED approved, I had to change anyway for insurance purposes. |

Additionally there is a GPS-unit with barometric altitude and TEK variometer, GPS-logger 2, and an all-purpose datalogger, Unilog2 The nice thing is that these sensors are compatible with Jeti Duplex, Multiplex M-Link, Graupner HoTT, Futaba, JR DMSS, FrSky and Spektrum radio systems. |

Uncommanded Motor Starts
Mr. Flying Gorilla,
I had a similar experience! Not good. Happened while I was working with a model I had transfered to a 24 PRO from a 24 STD. The programming worked great on the 24STD. Transferred to the 24PRO, it was very dangerous, motor starts were possible from many switches. When I created a another, similar program on the 24 PRO......it worked perfectly. From your's, this, and another experience I described on this forum (trims) I've concluded there is something screwey with the file transfer protocol. I don't trust it. However.........in most other regards, I really like the MZ-24 radios. Dave Quote:

Analog Servo?
I smoked a couple analog Hi Tec on HoTT at 11ms. A few reports of some Hi Tec having problems with DSMX on high refresh rates too. If you see any funny movements, buzzing, getting warm, just set your Rx on 22ms. I also once solved some jumping around servos by updating FW on Rx, |

Thanks for the info guys.
I finally got a reply from the Tech. Dep @ Lindinger regarding the HS-645BB/MG note: "there was once a charge where all HS-645 servos trembled. This info is however already obsolete now there is no longer this problem." So it should be OK for the newer servos. |

I've used Graupner MZ-18 for 3 years and MZ-24 PRO for 2 months now and I am super happy with the gear. I've never had an issue with my Graupner stuff, whenever I build a new model I simply make a new configuration and it has never failed. I have only used it for photography and racing drones though.
