Concrete form release oil is supposed to give good smoke but it is said to be hazardous

Update

I'm glad to say that over the past few weeks I've been able to accomplish quite a bit by squeezing in build time here and there. I feel that the project is coming along quite smoothly and I am more than pleased with the progressing results. Here are the wings being covered. The last components to be covered:

Striping the top of the wings.. Almost there! After over a year on the this build there is finally a shimmer of light at the end of the tunnel. I ordered a box of 18-8 Stainless Steel 4-40 socket head cap screws and lock nuts to replace the black oxide hardware on all the ball links and servo arms. All that i have left to do before the maiden is to:

*Stripe the bottom of the wings
*Pin Stripe the wings
*Swap out the Black Oxide Ball link and servo arm screws/nuts with Stainless Steel
*Install the batteries (Rx, Ignition, and Smoke pump)
*Drill Hole in engine cowl to access H and L fuel mixture needles
*Make and Install Instrument Panel
*Balance Prop and Spinner
*Balance Plane CG
*Program radio and set throws
*Break In/Tune Engine
**FLY!!

Thanks kerwin. I'm happy.
My stainless steel lock nuts and socket head cap screws arrived from McMasterCARR yesterday. Hoping to swap out the black oxide stuff today after work.

Well, its been a long road, but it looks as I'm pretty much there! Finished swapping out the hardward with stainless. $7 well spent. I also finished striping the wings and made an instrument panel which I'm pretty happy with.
To make the instrument panel, I took some 2lb rigid urethane foam. Cut it close to shape on a bandsaw. Then skinned it with Bondo, and sanded it smooth. Then I painted it and glued on the graphics which I made as well.
Also marked off the list is installing the flight packs. I did a rough check of the cg before installing the batteries but I need to do the final balancing.
For the most part, i guess it is safe to say that the construction is finally done. The last couple nights have just been occupied with setting the throws, programming the radio and going over all my work.

I did start the engine up and run about half a tank thru it yesterday. Wow, what a beast! Now if I could just cut down on the vibration at idle.

Yeah these gasser do vibrate at an Idle. I've heard that you can retard the timing some for a smoother idle.
Are you now ready for a remaiden.

Actually, Kerwin, I haven't flown her before. The flight video posted earlier in the thread isn't me or my plane. It is a video I found confirming my fears about the original covering. But to answer the.question, I'm getting very close. I still have to program the mix for the smoke, balance the cg, and finish breaking in/tuning the engine.
Last night I had a chance to test the smoke system a bit. I don't have a mix programmed yet so it was with the pump full on or full off. So far so good. I'm getting huge plumes off white smoke using straight baby oil, but I'm also getting a bit of liquid oil so I have to cut the pump back a bit.
Also, I balanced the prop a little better and eliminated some of the vibration.
