You get that ESC/Radio figured out for more braking Rellik?
yeah i got it set up, but the mechanical gyro is killing me lol its always something, bolts coming loose, something binding, or coming out of adjustment, i thread lock the crap out of the bolts to. I cant wait till the E-gyro comes out so i can ride and not have to worry about all the gears and such, i think the E-gyro will make the bike a lot more reliable and enjoyable to

Had a problem with no drive, and thought, good time to rebiuld the VMX. Initially thought the slipper had failed, broken pin in shaft, maybe, wrong.
Found the motor had failed, seperated the rotor from the shaft. Anyhow, stripped it right back and started from scratch.

Replaced speedy with Castle Mamba Max Pro.
Replaced motor with Hobbywing 4800Kv
Fitted front brake, using Savox SH0255MG micro servo
Threw the supplied brake cable in the garbage, and replaced it the gear change cable of a mountain bike, and with the outer brake lining.

Set the timing on the speedy to 15degrees advanced, and WOW, the extra gyro speed makes one heck of a difference, stability is fantastic, and the brake is awesome. I now use virtually zero rear braking, and, at times, can lift the back wheel off the deck.

I had no problems with the supplied speedy, just prefer Castle.
I did find the brake servo and cable a little weak.

If the GPV-1 and VMX450 are any indication, the real release date will be 6 months after the initial date.

Just for you Chris, here are some stills. Had to make an adaptor plate and spacers to line up the servo to the cable, as well as the keepers for the brake lining. The stiffness of the brake lining doesn't seem to influence the steering.

The next 2 things are to get an E-Gyro, and a 10.5 turn and use the Castle Cheat Mode.

Awesome!! Thank you!!. Wow it looks so mich easier to maintain. So basiclly you put then peices together, mount the esc and your back up and running? I like how it comes with the whole sha-bang. Deff looks like its going to make the bike much more reliable and enjoyable can't wait!!

Wow that full size cable looks like a bent spoke on there! Are you sure its not affecting the steering? Did you go to a thicker damper oil?

I'm looking at messing around with some 4WD SCT motors from Tenshock on the MM450. These are 4 pole motors so the torque is a lot more than your standard motors. They have a 5200KV motor I want to run that will be pretty fast I bet. I'll run a 100A ESC along with it too. Im also looking at 3500KV on 3S.
The problem is the 5mm shaft. I need to find a pinion that will work or try to turn the motor shaft down.
