Try this thread for Tower Hobbies' coupon codes:

https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show....php?t=1368076

Do note that most codes, posted by RCG members, are for Tower Hobbies "Super Saver" members:

http://www.towerhobbies.com/ssc.html

The yearly Super Saver membership can pay for itself with free shipping, and discounted purchases.

Discounts, for non-members (Tower), can be found on their home page:

http://www.towerhobbies.com/

Buying models from your LHS is a fair deal, too, because Hobbico and the retail store will absorb the shipping costs with the rest of their wholesale/bulk orders.

Osito,
Try the 110lbs spectra http://www.midwestmodelyachting.com/RiggingLine.asp
You could also use Item 210 with some turnbuckles. http://www.midwestmodelyachting.com/RiggingWire.asp
I use stainless wire for my uppers and spectra for my lower shrouds. Ryan

I'd think you'll have to live with it. The sail, when working is never in contact for the stay to affect the sail shape and, when jibbing, the obstruction is minimal.

I use a small o-ring and water proof grease, "boat wheel bearing" I also use a small
amount on the rudder post. My boat is always dry.

You need todetermine where the water is coming from. If from rudder shaft, take the ruuder off and grease the shaft with some teflon or silcon grease, then reinstall. If the keel or rudder shaft is leaking where they are bonded to the boat, then that's a differerent issue. Contact me offline about that if that is a problem. Where are you at? Ryan

I have found that the best thing for keeping water out of my vela is the following. Take the keel of and brush the inset with vaseilne, replace the keel and tighten it. Then place some around the rudder and use a small rubber o-ring at the top of the rudder connection and the hull. You can also take a brush and apply some around the rubber seals on the deck openings. This has worked very well for me and I have found it is a cheap and easy fix. ronnied
