I'm getting ready for something in about the 60" range. If they make this in that range it would be sweet, if not I am probably going with the slick. If the slick comes out first then I'll probably get it and if this one follows later add it as well.

Is it just me or is it a flat bottom on this airplane? I thought the yak was completely round. Is it flat on the bottom to improve flight performance or is it that way on the real yak 55? This is defiantly a great looking plane and hope to see more flight videos of it soon.

I just realized one 6S2600 pack is perfect for this plane (and the 57" SC) and two 6S2600's are perfect for the 70" Stuff! Perfect way to consolidate batteries.

That sounds way big.....maybe the 59" Slick.

Doesn't look flat to me. It's not perfectly round though.......looks like it has stringers making the shape. To do the scale compound curve on the whole fuse would require tonnes of sheeting, and would probably weigh a bunch and ruin the flying characteristics. You wouldn't notice it in the air, and can't see it on the ground anyways.

dd me to the list. I really enjoy all my 3dhobbyshop planes. I'm to the point know if they make it I will buy it. I travel alot on my job with the bnsf railroad. I've assembled more of these planes in holiday inn's than my home in Colorado. In two years I've stayed at my house maybe three months combined but it doesn't matter because I can Just keep ordering them.

Im looking forward to this one. Gear is already waiting for it. Could be a while, but i am patiently waiting. Now I don't have to settle for one, i can just buy a good one.!!!!!

+1 birk. I've always like the look of the 55. This will definitely be added to the fleet when it comes out I have some stuff I can just drop in and go.
