Hi Jeff,

Is seems more stable, i guess having all that weight on the end of the arms may help. I also prefer the relative compactness of the coaxial design over a hexa or octo

I have had to change the PID a bit as it was a bit wobbly, I reduced the P a bit and increased dampening a little too.

a lull between the wind

I mean obviously the had some success with it we all saw the videos from China right? so no im not defending their inability to produce a consistent product, just the fact that you cant make a statement like This product is crap and it doesnt work because thats just not true.
I have to disagree with you. The statement is not irresponsible, and I didn't call it "crap". I responded to a post asking if the gps should be purchased.

This being a hobby product, I'm ok with a certain amount of tweaking and tinkering. But I do have a minimum expectation for a product to perform as advertised.

The gps does not work for the majority of users. What is irresponsible is the fact xa released this product in it's current state to paying customers.

Thanks,
Joe

if you want instant gratification spend the money and buy an MK I did. For a $700.00 quad the X650 performs famously in my opinion but I still adore my X650 and cant wait till it can perform as well as the MK because it will for half the price...

Not a stupid question as many plane and heli folk do so, however if the power on the XA was to fail it wouldn't make any difference if the receiver had it's own power as there are no servos etc to allow autorotation or aileron/rudder control, it would still fall to earth, so there's no point in it having it's own battery

Thank you for the answer TeeJayBee.

What is the proper way to connect the receiver to the quad's battery

Hi Guys, So here are the first test videos from the X8.

X8 - 2x x650 escs, 8x x650 motors, x650 props all around, modified x650 motor mounts

4 mins of flight time burns 1400 mah from each battery (2 2200 mah batteries)

Photoship One mkTR camera mount, stabilized on roll and tilt.
Canon t2i with zenitar 16mm lens

Stabilized with smoothcam in FCP

X8 t2i tests round 1-QuickTime H.264 (1 min 35 sec)
