Hi Jingchen

I have been doing a bit of research on where the compass should be positioned in relation to the various electronics and the feeling is that it should be as far away (150mm) from the power cables leading to the ESC's, as this is where most of the magnetic interference comes from.

My hexa uses the 2 x X450 Esc to feed motors 5&6, and the ESC's are located between motor 5&6, and the wires linking the battery to the 2 x ESC's run quite close (60mm) to the compass positioned above the AHRS.

I am thinking of moving the compass to a position located between motors 2&3 on an extended arm so that I will achieve a distance of about 130mm.

What are your and your teams thoughts on this position and will it have an adverse impact on the compass operation.

You need both the GPS and Compass on 350mm masts sticking out the top of the XA


Just wait til you try to place the OSD module, apparently it has to go in a very dark damp place

If you open up your config software it will automatically down load the new XAircraft Centre

You will then have to update your FC firmware and the AHRS firmware. Don't forget to change the cable to the respective module.

No GPS firmware yet

hmm, need to play with it a bit seems to parameter stuff missing..

no config files for the 'old' discontinued x450 and x650

no motor start speed option I can find.

Yeah, it blows away your configuration settings in your FC if you aren't using a X450pro or X650v. I'm making an X650-X8 profile and a Hexa profile right now.

Josh, do you mean the way we used to calibrate the RC? If so, they've created a wizard for this. Just pick calibrate then in the RC tab.

I meant assigning channels to things, 5 HAS to be Nor/Att/rth for instance...

I cant change the 'off' of channel onwards to 'on' so I cant enable carefree at the moment

hmm also I dont want camera tilt on channel 9 of my 8 chn radio, i want it on 7 like I had it before...

Hmmm, I bet you could use the new XAircraft Center software to update to 1.32 firmware and then load the old XAircraft Configuration software to make the changes you are talking about until we can figure this out. A bit kludgy but should work.
