After sorting through the usual bad vendors (ehobbies, rcgonow, lowpricerc, etc), it appears AdvantageHobby is the only place to get these right now. From what I can find, they are a borderline vendor. Anyone have any experience with them and can verify truthful stock status on their site?

'Doh!

I just submitted the order to AdvantageHobby, after doing some more research on that company and reviews on rcgroups. Oh well, maybe next time. Thanks!

Trimmed to 10" and painted black. It hasn't broken on mild noseovers.

So what motor are you using with the shortened APC prop? What current draw do you get with that combo?

has any one used a BP U3520-6 in a P-47? I think its 1.2 grams heavier than the eflite power 25 870kv, but its rated for much higher power. I'm running eflite retracts and flaps, but I'm really worrying about being too nose heavy... especially with 4s 2200 packs. I had a Messerschmidt bf-109 that was way too nose heavy and was uncontrollable. flew straight up with power and straight down with out... needless to sat it disintegrated on impact.

Dont worry too much there is bags of room to move the lipo around to get the balance right.

I think I'm gonna sneak out in the morning to maiden. Any tips for a warbird newbie? I'll start with the stock prop, but I'm also bringing extra 300 and apprentice props, too.

This is on the p25, 60a esc, 3s 2200 & 3300 25c. Flaps, fixed gear (may belly land it first), A9 setup.

Thanks!

you may want to add 20% expo to the ailerons on spektrum or -40% on futaba.

Dave
forgot to mention that the BP motor is about 25% heavier than stock.

Would you consider $150 a fair price for a used completely stock BNF version minus the battery ?

P-47 almost ready for maiden, just C of G check to go
I have -40 % expo on ail, -30% expo on Elev, -30% expo Rudder, all on my Futaba 8FG Tx.
7mm up/down aileron travel, 10mm up/down elevator, 17mm left/right on rudder.
I have aileron mixed to rudder, 60%

Right now I just have the two aileron servos in the wing, everything stock. Stock motor, Esc and prop.
Wonder if it would be light enough to hand toss, then land back in the long grass again? No landing gear on it yet at all. The other warbirds in these pictures are flown with a hand toss, no landing gear.

Once I see how much power is there( I have some spare PZ Extra 300 props) I can set up the E-Flite retracts.

Some warbirds in the pictures. We flew the P-51, Sea Fury, and I did some launch-and-recovers (off a road) with the Ultra Stick
