1/32 scale Mig-15

Molded 2mm depron. Only deviation from scale is 20% increase of the horizontal stabilizer.
Scale inlet and exhaust.
20mm EDF, 1s brushless 8mm motor.
I did some test flights at KIEF and it needs some major work before it will fly well.
I built it with tailerons but they don't work, it has NO roll control whatsoever. Could also use a little more power so I'll wind a hotter motor.

Looks really impressive , how are you molding the components ? Is it epoxy mold heated and compressed depron ? Are your control linkages flexible or solid , they look really neat .
I want to build a Strikemaster with a 30mm fan , about 12" - 14" span , looks like it is a really realistic idea now I've seen your videos !

Thanks guys,
Airframe parts are vacuum formed. Control rods are .015 music wire in teflon tubing.
I'll add ailerons and rudder control. While it's apart I'll make a hotter fan unit to handle the increased weight.

Excellent work! I assume you meant "tailerons" rather than elevons as it looks like the controls are out back? The wing appears to have no dihedral which would explain the lack of turning authority. With no dihedral the airframe will just yaw rather than roll. You can either put some dihedral into the wings or add ailerons as you mentioned. Good luck!

I mean tailerons, don't know why I always do that.

Did you vaccum over a plastic model's parts, and if so, what brand? Would be cool if that were the case. Love the H.M. fan unit. Someday soon I should have more time to expand into the 'black world' of 20mm home brew!

Looks great.

Could become poor making and selling these as 'kits', plus give up all the fun working for no profit. But it would sell.

I got to eyeball this model at the KIEF Fly-In. My first question was "where are you going to put the radio gear"? I was informed that it was already installed

If you get it flying even half as good as it looks, it's gonna fly like a dream.
