thanks Tim. good Idea.
I'm thinking about building one also and this will help. Is there any advantage in flying quality or stability or is all of the advantage in costs?

It's both from what I understand. I've yet to fly one... Still in the board building process.

Not proud of my soldering skills... However, everything tones out correctly via the multimeter.

Hi Tim,

Thanks for starting this thread so we can find things in one place and follow your progress. I am ordering some parts as well.

Are you planning to use the nunchuk board? The return to neutral demo is pretty cool.

I'll add the nunchuck board once I feel comfortable with this basic board. I need to figure out the code now and how to use the software...

Hey Tim

Here are the pictures of my board. Its the RBBB clone, with the WM+ only.

The receiver has channels 1,2,3 using a single servo plug across the three signal pins, and an extra pin for ch4. I had to bring one ground to the receiver for one of the speed controls. I ran my BEC into the receiver, then a plug from a spare channel out to the RBBB. Hope these help.

Thanks Bob! Your Wii board is a lot cleaner than mine.... So, looking at your second pic, I'm assuming that the front of your tri is to the right?

Here is that video with a little Python thrown in.

you got it. front to the right on that pic. Here is the video of the micro copter. I'm cleaning up the wires now. It did have 15" arms, now they're only 8"
Cool video Tim. I like the music.

No nunchuk. And I just squashed everything together. The harness is about 5" too long. I am consolidating all the wiring, and trying the three speed control bec instead of the separate BEC. Also put on a smaller receiver. It should loose about 2 oz total. I plan on carrying a camera on this one too!
Sold the last set of gyros! to the same guy! He bought two sets, He's in Hawaii, and a guy from Alaska bought the other set.
