Fresh off the workbench!

This is the latest version of the Deltastorm...the X-44. It's powered by a 55mm EDF. Go read the the main thread NOW!

Thanks to you, I did your X-41,(changed the canard to a second set of elevrons and it was a wild thing), duplicated your X-42 and added a virtual rudder(radio mix) and went into ducted fans.
Built not only a single ducted fan, played with two on a F-22. Then moved on to 360 thrust vectoring. What a blast. You should modify your X-44 and you will have the newest toy on the block.
Here is a video of what it can do in tight quarters. I have since added the second thruster and now play with canards to tighten the cobra's.

I buy cheap ducted fans that usually have a wide gap between the impeller and the hub. Do you have the same condition?
I reduced the gap by using Scotch magic tape and improved thrust. (radio allows me to read % throttle in numbers -was 75 went to 69 to hover). Have you ever thought of experimenting with your ducted fan? Would love to trade data on that.
Even if the tape touches the blade at high speed, there is no damage.
Presently, I have four F-22's with the modification and no problems.
