The stock ESC is what, 85A? I'm partial to Castle ESCs so maybe an ICE 100 would be a good replacement.

Thanks for the heads up... however the warning only applies to their ICE HV line. He wouldn't need an HV controller as the F/A-18E flies on 6s. The ICE controllers are good to 8s.

I just ordered a Hobbywing platinum pro 100A esc. I haven't had a problem with my stick esc yet. Lately it's been getting hot after 2 rnds of flight, but just have that feeling it may give out. It was on sale also had a part in it.

Might up grade the motor soon also, any suggests?

I'm using an Ice 100. So far so good.

As far as a kit/air frame only right now. http://rc-castle.com/shop/product_in...oducts_id=1715

Yep that is one of the few selling any Freewing EDFs (I also want a V3 90mm Freewing Eurofighter). The hard part to choke is the shipping.

I would order in a heartbeat if they were able to get some Australian paint scheme F18s (airframes or RxR).

I spoke with Jason from Lobby-Lobby and he said they are still looking to get some in October.

Shipping from Australia yes. However from RC-Castle is not real bad.

Total price shipped was $271. It's sitting in my closet waiting for 'THE DAY'. Hopefully later than sooner. Thinking bout grabbin a euro-f 2.

Still no suggests on a motor upgrade to go with a 100a esc?

I think EJF sells a 90mm fan/motor combo that should be a drop-in fit. I think they even make a fan/motor/ESC combo in the 90mm size. I have several HET inrunner motors and I'm very happy with them.
