I am carrying out a university project in which we have to design an RC hobercraft. however, being an electrical power student, I do not have any ideas of which electronic components are needed for my design spec. The hovercraft is to be mass produced so I am looking for companies who will sell in bulk.

I.e.
Need to know all electronic components (inc fans and sizes)
Need to know companies who will sell these components in bulk

it depends on what you want to make this will then dictate size of componets but to start you off you willl need a brushless motor and propeller and a speed controller and a battery but it depens on what you want to make a scale modle a raccing type model ?
