I know and if you call them they will make you a better offer under the table and then legit dealers get POed then they drop their prices then everyone comes here and complains.

Hobby King,

Your shipping Sucks. Shipping prices way to high. Hobby King, are we paying the warehouse workers from over charging prices in shipping?

What shipping cost are you refering to? Is it for items purchased from the US warehouse perhaps?

Did you really expect them to sell items for about the same cost of their home warehouse and not charge a bit extra somewhere. They have to make a profit somewhere and will now gain first hand experience of doing business in the USA.

It would be interesting and perhaps informative if someone would compare prices and shipping from China and then same items from USA warehouse. Delivered cost to your door is the bottom line after all.

Does anybody still care for LiFePo4? A123 basically shot themselves on their foot by failing to improve their cells in the past years. LiPos are dramatically better now - internal resistance have dropped so low in recent cells and 5c charging rates negated many of the benefits of LiFePo4. I also disliked the voltage and weight penalties - perhaps the only exception is for use as RX batteries. A pair of LiFePo4 keeps servos happy without a regulator. However its hard to imagine how much sales that niche would generate.

What I'd like to see HK do is to create a special grade of their Lipo batteries where the balance / cell IR is checked and documented before shipment. I'm sure a small markup - perhaps a few bucks per battery is worth their while to do this. It will make a great step towards the almost non-existant QA where getting a good/bad battery is essentially a lottery.

There is a value worth paying, to some people, to get it from US shores. But if that cost is higher than it should be built into the price of the pack, not hidden in excessive shipping rates once it's already stateside. They are luring you in with low prices, then nail you on the back end with high shipping to cover their profits. That's just a shell game that should be left to the sellers on eBay!

But then again, HK's not really known for doing business on the up an up!

Gen Aces' appear to be a great choice. Unfortunately most of them seem to be out of stock. It appears that they get them in a container on a s-l-o-w boat from China. Prepare to wait a month for restocking.

Hobby Partz. I don't know how many times I've checked that site and they've never had what I want in stock.
They're off my list for good now.

Only failed product I got from HK was a key chain camera that only would take pictures and record sound, videos were black with sound only.\

Six bucks out but I salvaged the lipo for extended flying with my Blade MCX.

No complaints from me.

I've only had one bad item from HK in over probably 100+ items and they replaced that.
Motors/batteries/ESC's/RX's/servos/etc. Maybe I'm just a lucky guy
