No Kits as yet that I know of,
But plans from Traplet Publications.

As you do not show what part of the world you are in, it will vary a bit.

But first try here;[they sell the plans]

If you have no luck there, send a note on this gyro forum to 'safelandings' [Richy] & he will organize something.

I need to speak to Traplet. At our small fly in there were several RPG's , one new gyronut turned up with his which was built from a traplet plan.
For some reason the mast height has been altered and I don't know why. There is also extra balsa added to the fuselage sides with other weight gaining mods. This made the new model almost impossible for anyone to fly and a considerable amount of lead was added to get positive results.

The reasons for the alterations I haven't a clue but it looks like someone has altered them without knowing the detrimental effects it will cause. Without the help of and experienced autogyro pilot that just happened to live by this guy and offered his help he would have given up.Luckily with the kind gents assistance we have another gyronut in the making

Regards

Rich

When you finially get building, start a new thread in the gyro section and let everybody know how you are going.
Ask any question you like about the RPG, as there are plenty of people here to help.
Getting/Making blades and your first few flights are the worst of it.
Do not change anything from the plans on your first gyro.[unless Richy thinks it's OK]
Good Luck.

I have one of these sitting in the box, and I can't bring myself to dig in, as I know I will end up completely rebuilding this thing to make it fly right... which brings two mind a question, and a comment.

The Question: why aren't there more kits, even short kits, out there? We are all willing to pay $70 for a plane that we will basically completely rebuild. I think most of us would much rather pay that much for a half decent kit, and do it right from the start - so what can we do to help make kit builders successful and get more kits out there?

The Comment: GOD BLESS YOU KIT MAKERS. There really are not that many places to get kits, but the guys who are out there are making great products, and they are a pleasure to buy from. Thank you all.

I had a nice flight with my C30 yesterday, so today I thought I might record a flight video but this flight ended like so many others before it. Anyway here's the video just for laughs

Well it does have it's problems but is not a total piece of crap. Actually it is made too well,in other words it is heavy . I made bigger main blades for it to carry the all up weight and a few other things to get it to fly ok. It is not for a beginner autogyro for sure.

Hi guys,

I'm really glad this thread is here! I based most of the assembly of my HK Cierva on this thread . The one thing is, I can't get it to autorotate yet. Yesterday there was quite some wind, and I wasn't going to fly but just see what it does when the wind goes through the blades, but it doesn't want to autorotate. If I just let it sit on the ground facing the wind, the blades tend to spin clockwise rather then counterclockwise!

I did do the reversing of the rotor mount plate, but I still don't really understand why it has to be reversed. The two screws of the blade mount line up with the central screw, so I don't see how it makes a difference (but apparently it does so I flipped it).

I'm new to autogyro's, but I'm flying helicopters for 2.5 years now so I'm not a newbie to flying
