I already answered you back in June - https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...postcount=1062

I thought you bought an ARF back then?

If you look @ the video - we estimated it at 50'.

Yes, you can hand launch. I've done it a few times when my nose gear was temporarily busted up. No problems, using a complete stock 3s setup (except for a new ESC).

For spare parts, buy the kit version or lots of epoxy & CA - your choice.....

I don't want to land yet!
Jim350... handlaunches it underhand style, this video was taken when it was stock with a 3s 2200mAh.... Watch it at around the 14 second mark for his handlaunch.

Personally I prefer this take-off technique...

giantkevmiester - read post #1578. I posted a detailed list of mods, a flight report, and explain my tests at various CG locations.

Get this jet mate, it's a great intro to EDF, and there’s so many guys on this forum that will agree with me.

If you're worried about spares – don’t. It’s a tough aircraft and can really take some abuse. The weakest part of the aircraft is the nose cone but it’s pretty easy to make a new one out of foam.

You said you're already experienced and fly 3D so I think you're going to find this jet very manageable.

If you’re still worried – just buy two kits.

On your other thread you said you need a "Jet that works" well this my friend is the one.

Hi!!

I have some questions about this plane, i purchased the HK T-45 recently, i had to glue again some pieces, but i like the general quality.
I will fly the plane with the stock equipment, but......i don't trust in the ESC!!..it seem very "rasca" (Argentine term for a bad product), can i use it with 11.1 volts and 2200 nanotech without problem???..Or i should change it???..
If it flies well, i have some parts for a mod:
DSR30 Retracts
Cyclone Edf 4500
80 Amp Skywing esc
14.8 Volts

This would be the changes, you tell me if it is correct...

Thanks and greeting from Argentina (The country of the eternal crisis)

About the only use for the included ESC is to prop the door open while you load the plane in the car, and even then I wouldn't trust it.

Make a search through the thread, several people here have lost (or almost lost) their T-45 due to stock ESC failure. Change it for a dependable 70-80A model as soon as possible.

As above, the stock esc is unusable. Best to change it before you fly it. It will fail, maybe not on the first flight but it will fail. Mine was bad out of the box so was changed immediately for a hobbywing 60 amp unit which is totally reliable.

It flies well, just use your parts straight away...

Yeah, stick the 80amp ESC in, do the dual Aileron Mod and add flaps, go 4S and never look back.

Replacement Cockpit/Canopies.

So my Canopy and Cockpit are pretty beat up. Has anyone found a suitable alternative/replacement?
