Hey, Bill! Is there any possibility that you might be selling your Unicorn? I've seen your posts mentioning the ME, and thought maybe the 'Corn neded a new home! : - ) Glen in Portland

Thanks for the offer of help, Bill, and I much appreciate it! Realistically, I have more planes than I need, with an E-Starter still in the box, an A-10 assembled (not by me, though) and looking for electronics, a Switchback Sport still in the box, and ElectraJet partly together, etc, etc! If I had enough skill to build ANYTHING at all, I'd start with the Switchback since I've heard such good things about it, but I'm afraid I'd botch it up. I'm trying to get a secopnd-hand Beaver up reliably; I have had some decent flights, but then some pretty scary ones, too! It doesn't seem very stable to a klutz like ME!
We've got to get together and put some planes up soon; when my wife and I were still teaching, we felt it was all downhill after July 4th!
Are you going to try to get over to Muncie for the Electric Nats Aug. 1 through 3? I don't know what the events are for the various days, but there will surely be some fabulous things going on! Thanks for reading, and so long for now! Glen

Bill, it is at www.modelaircraft.org . I believe that should work.
DANG, I am having trouble even flying this second hand Beaver!!! Who in the CARP can't fly a BEAVER, for cryin' out loud?? It was well taped with carbon tape when I got it, and came with floats and two 6 cell 600 AE packs. I DID have a few decent flights last week with that combo and the stock three blade 9X6, but it has all gone down hill from there. It seems very unstable, doesn't want to gain altitude, etc. I read all the big threads, and when I saw how light the guys are flying them, I thought my six cell 350 nicads would be the answer. WRONG! The CG is two inches behind the LE, the weight is about 14 ounces, I've tried the three blade 9X6, the two blade 9X6, two blade 10X47 and on and on. I guess I am going to have to plead my freaking ignorance in public on the site and see if anyone can figure out the problem Probably first and foremost, I am a no-good RC pilot, but it burns my butt off that everyone raves about what a wonderful plane it is and for ME it now flops around and eventually crashes/lands. I haven't broken the wings or fuse in all this, but the already weak tail-feathers are always suspiciously flimsy. I tell 'ya, it is shades of my Tipsy disaster last fall! So long, and ya' want a Beaver cheap? : - ( Glen
