Yippee!

Parkzone Ultra Micro FPV - 5.8ghz 200mw FPVhobby TX - 40g without lipo's :D

Aww yeah!
Always wanted to FPV these little suckers but the only tiny TX's were the 2.4ghz units I had were from intelligent flight... no good for the 2.4ghz spek bricks in these planes

So forked out some cash for the FPVhobby.com 100mw 5.8ghz TX
&
Also grabed the 1 gram nano camera.

Spent some time trying to get the TX and Cam filtered so I could stick with the 1 Lipo but I gave up after a short while and went the 2 lipo route...

Anyway heres the test vid and the maiden flight, the recorder stuffed up (worst timing as usual) so I couldnt grab the onboard video, but I salvaged some stills which were still viewable.

Will try again tomorrow and see if I can go "under the bar"

Enjoy

TX/RX test @ home
Ultra Micro Trojan FPV ground testing (3 min 39 sec)

Maiden flight & full FPV flight @ the park
Parkzone Ultra Micro T-28 Trojan FPV Maiden (2 min 54 sec)

Some fun at indoor
Ultra Micro FPV T-28 Trojan @ Indoor with some bad crashes!! (4 min 23 sec)

Rudder chopped off mid flight
Parkzone Ultra Micro T-28 Trojan FPV - Rudder severed mid-flight :( (4 min 1 sec)

Found a good spot for the camera, just need more practice now!
ParkZone Micro Trojan FPV - crashes, formation, birds & more :P (5 min 7 sec)

Last of the Trojan vids for now, system getting disassembled and put into something else

Hi Max,
This is the stuff I NEED.
My 2.4Ghz rig suffers too much with interference from my mates with their 2.4Ghz RC gear.
Was thinking of splurging on the new 5.8Ghz fatsharks coz I want better goggles anyway. What do you recon ?
That would make a very convenient , close range FPV outfit for hacking around the park.
BTW what are you using for RC with that trojan ? I guess you've got a spektrum module in the back of your 9C but didn't see the antenna.
Cheers !

Hey guys
Bloody raining all day today - well not true but not good for the lil trojans 1st proper FPV...
Indoor happening in a couple hours but I think the video will be crap - we'll see!

Cncoz - Fatshark uses these channels -
CH1: 5740Mhz, CH2: 5760Mhz,
CH3: 5780Mhz, CH4: 5800Mhz
CH5: 5820Mhz, CH6: 5840Mhz
CH7: 5860Mhz

Chinese stuff uses -
Ch1:5705mhz , Ch2:5685mhz
Ch3:5665mhz , Ch4:5645mhz
Ch5:5885mhz , Ch6:5905mhz
Ch7:5925mhz , Ch8:5945mhz

I have a awesome yellowjacket diversity 5.8ghz RX but the channels were way off
I got the RX modules from FPVhobby, 2 of them... hang on ill take some pictures.
Got heaps of Chinese takeaway box's (perfect! hehe) so I just build stuff into them.
Only got video - no audio, 2 RX's and then everything plugged into the oracle.

Kev.au - Camera rocks! but the FOV is little too narrow for my liking, works great tho, so tiny!

This modules are Sky-RF modules.
SKY-RF Homepage translated to English

Check their page for more information.
Normally the modules need some capacitors to work correctly.

I have not found the 100mW on their homepage, maybe its a new one.

Which length does the TX antenna has?

cool project by the way.

Max,
Yes, a bit of a @#$%^-off .....this rain. I've got some gear I want to test too.
Thanks for them frequencies, I would have checked it all before buying but you've just saved me a shipload of work.
That rig of yours is a work of art !
I'm still keen on the 5.8mhz fatsharks, just for the convenience of setup, getting a bit tired of carrying a big patch, RX, batteries, leads, goggles, more leads, friggin' jumper over the head, now where's that lead....damn, left it at home !!!
Anyhoo, I'll find out how heavy the fatshark 5.8Ghz TX's are, It's just for parkfliers so it doesn't need to be sub-gram.
We should get together for a fly or a beer or both if it EVER STOPS RAINING !
Cheers !

Those 5.8ghz transmitters seem to work well, once I get a chance ill take it outside and do a range test... hmm, I think it will lock out before the video drops tho!
