Hi.
Welcome to the forum .
What size are you looking at , and what sort of engine / boiler are you using ?
The size rather dictates what plans to use .
Lots of plans out there , and quite cheap , or you could just buy a hull and make up the rest yourself .
That is what I do .

Using a PM research twin and their vertical boiler. What ever size that vertical boiler dictates, probably around 36" Looked at Taubman, was not impressed with the selection or the cost. would use either a bought hull, or complete planked wooden. First model steam boat, have mainly built sail and and electric scale.

I live in North Carolina, and have seen that the UK is more into steam than the US, however shipping makes it impossible to buy from there either open or with a saloon prefer with a salon

There are lines drawings of a 21' launch available in the Historic American Engineering Record at http://lcweb2.loc.gov/cgi-bin/ampage...pe=1&maxCols=2. This launch was built by the Truscott Boat Company in St. Joseph, Michigan and is in the collection of the Michigan Maritime Museum in South Haven. The launch in the museum has a gasoline engine, but the company built the same model with steam engines. I intend to buy and build a Graham TRV1A, with a small Macsteam boiler, and install them in a model of the Truscott launch.
