The 20" size has just been recently tested and ready for release. It flies great just like it's big brother. It will perform very well with smaller power packages. We should have video of the 20" X-Raycer up before too long.

Nice.... Good to see your not doing forehead launching and catching while Baby is onboard. Momma must have been with the camera?

Something new, something blue

Adam added another color to the X-Raycer line up. A really pretty blue X-Ryacer available in both sizes....nice!

Do you think the 20" x-raycer will fly with a 10 gram motor.

I think you can make it work but there won't be a lot of excess power. What battery, esc, servos are you planning on using? If it is all light weight stuff and you build from 3mm Depron I think the 10 gram motor might do the job.

I made a 30" flying wing (probably around the same surface area as the 20" X-Raycer), with 10g motor, 2x 5g servos, 6 amp ESC, 400mAh 2S battery, 180g all-up weight, and it flew great with this setup:

motor: http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store...idProduct=5358
prop: http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store...dProduct=10034
ESC: http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store...idProduct=4318
servos: http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store...?idProduct=663
and a 400mah 2S battery

Oooh, red would be nice. We have a lot of things in the works right now so not sure if the art department can get to this right away.

I was looking into ordering some depron for this and was curious if theres a size recommendation for the sheets. I checked the site and looked through the thread and haven't seen it mentioned yet. I see rcfoam sells it in 27x39, 24.6x31.5, and 13x39. What would be the smallest i could get away with without having to splice? Also anyone have a better (cheaper) source for depron in the US?

I got my print done on some nice high gloss stock, little pricey but it is a really sweet looking 2 foot X4 foot sheet.

27 x 39 does it

I bought my Depron from RCFoam.com

Here are all the parts on one 27" x 39" piece of foam from RCFoam.com. Note the second side fins don't get glued to this piece of foam. The inside fin graphics gets glued to the opposite side of the piece of foam that the outside graphic was glued to.
