New HobbyKing warehouse in the USA.

I just got word that Hobby King is opening a USA based warehouse shipping center the 29th of this month... any idea where it's to be located?

Seattle, WA or Tacoma, WA from what I have heard. Hope that means I don't have to pay 20 bucks for shipping when I can drive there in 20 min lol.

Ha, that would be sweet for me too.
I almost hope it isn't true... I buy too much stuff from them already.

They better get it figured out, and get it stocked. I have not ordered from them in a good long while as I am loving the blue lipo's, motors and esc's from

Other good US shipping choices like value hobby too.

Stock is an issue at hobbypartz, but they will get it figured out.

I would expect, and hope, that they would use and offer USPS flat rate shipping of
$4.95, and $10.95 as well as standard UPS ground.
They can either gain or loose marketshare based upon that alone.

I am disappointed that they have purposely hidden increases in their shipping weights in many items. It has forced me to use several other sources for those seemingly cheap but overweighted props and the like.

I watch out for me. No "loyalty" here. You give me deals I give you money. No deals, I find other places to spend my money. That's it.

I have no friends
I am guessing it will come online, and be out of stock in less than five days.

It says on the HK site this morning that the USA warehouse is now open. I did a quick search on "USA" and it only came up with 16 items. One of the items is that A-380 foamie that previously they stated could not be shipped to the USA because it's too big.

I found 16 items, or so, weeks ago.
I would think that OPEN is the announcement, READY, it is NOT.
Today is only the 27th.

Seems HKs web site is down.
I was going to order a Decathlon and can't get online with them.

Shipping should be sweet as I just live a bit south of that new warehouse.

Now that HK has a warehouse in the states I wonder if their prices will go up...Look at what the modelers pay in countries where there is a warehouse close by and not shipped from China...A plane that costs $50 and shipped from China costs $70 when shipped from a european warehouse to a european country...Seems like when they can't stick it to you shipping-wise, they'll stick it to you on the price...What's the difference when the $50 plane costs $40 to ship from China and the $70 plane costs $20 to ship is here in the USA???...90 bucks is still 90 bucks to me!!!

If it's the same overall price to you they should not create a warehouse here, unless they are hoping to make more money due to many buyer's I WANT IT NOW, NO MATTER WHAT THE COST!! attitude. I never subscribe to that.
If they will take back defects here in the USA, that would be an advantage for me.
If I don't share their savings in bulk shipping, and if their increased inventory and labor costs of double packing and shipping are too costly to cause reduced price to me, then I won't be using their USA warehouse.
Time will tell if they have made the right decision.

Back a year or so ago when they mentioned opening a USA warehouse, they said it would be located in Ohio...haven't heard anything about the new one.

Anyway, I don't expect it will be useful for quite sometime as they don't have much stock right now. Atleast we now have a more affordable and less time consuming option for warranty replacements.

Sorry, no thanks. Where's the savings ?

Just picked a Usa warehouse $70 jet, put it in the cart. They still want $28 to ship it by ground!!! No deal here.

NOTE: 9/30/10 I doublechecked and I was incorrect.
USPS Priority Mail 1-3Day US-PM $14.57 OR
USPS Parcel Post 5-6Day US-PP $11.37

This is much better than I originally reported.
