I'm interested in a basic instrument to record flight profiles - altitude most importantly - for interest and skills development, not competition.

The available gear has a range of capabilities; from highest altitude reached to full graphic representation of flight.

The Eagle Tree altitude sensor is simple and affordable. The SkyAssistant is comprehensive and pricey.

And is any of this gear compatible with a Mac not running Windows?

What have you used; have you got examples of flight profiles; what would you recommend?
