Looking for DH-2 article/plans

I understand that the Jan/Feb 2001 issue of Flying Scale Models had a speed 400 construction feature for an Airco DH-2.

I've contacted the US distribuotr for the mag, and they don't have that issue available.

Does anyone have a lead on a source for a copy of this mag?

TIA!

RCBoater:
You are in luck. In the May/June issue of FSM, Turnkeyrc.com is offering laser cut parts for that model. Try that url for price and ordering info. and maybe plans too.

Morning chaps

After being a rare type in model form for years it seems that you can't move for DH2s at the moment. As well as the FSM one mentioned this months RCM&E contains a free plan for a 44" span geared 280 park fly version designed by Dereck's mate Shane Harding and therefore guaranteed to be a goer. Then there is the Falcon Kits indoor offering as well.

Interesting times.

Turnkey does have a laser cut kit based on the FSM plans.

They do not have the plans available, just the parts.

Wise Owl Publications is out, and so is FSM of that issue.

HOWEVER, they now have permission to copy the article and the plan from the publisher, and sell it for $22. (I just got it from them) The parts from Turnkey look pretty good, but I won't get to it until building season.

If you're really stuck, I can lend you a copy of the plan, and possibly the article too, but I would like them back. Even though I'm not likely to build Mike's model.

Bill,
The complete magazine is on it's way to you. You are quite welcome to keep the plan but if I could have the mag back it would be a help.

How about carbon fiber(fibre) rod for tailplane struts? Scale thickness is tiny, has been a visual distraction on DH-2 models in the past. Also, if your scale dummy rotary engine sheds a cylinder the carbon rod may not break , an improvement over the prototype.

Peter,

The Mag arrived this weekend in fine shape. I'll copy the article and send it back right away.

If I can ever return the favor, please don't hesitate to ask....
