What thickness balsa sheeting did you use to patch up the rounded edges? Oh...and expect more questions, because my plane is in exactly the same state your was. Thanks for all the pics.

I believe it is 1/16". I just used a piece from my stock-pile that matched!

One more question...were able to save the blue covering you pealed back on the sides or did you add new covering? The white on mine is already ripped...so that's getting replaced...but the blue is fine.

I peeled back the blue and was able to re-use it. The white covering on the bottom was replaced, also ripped. FYI white Monokote doesn't match!

Brian's pics helped me a lot. You should also check out cmala's Slick repair. He did nice work as well.

Thanks, but the credit should go the 3DHS for providing the parts to make this kind of repair possible. As far as I know 3DHS is the only manufacture that sells a motorbox repair kit.

Thanks but I have to agree with Brill. The motorbox kit for the slick is great.

It lets you take a plane with almost no front fuselage and rebuild it pretty easily.

So true! It's one of those little things that keeps me coming back to 3DHS.
