Need motor GB, 3oz thrust, 1/2 to 3/4 oz

Hi All, I'm building a 1/2 size Mini IFO and need a small motor /gearbox combo that will produce 3oz or better thrust and weigh less than 3/4 oz. With a couple of li-poly cells, GWS Rx, Pixie ESC and 2 sub micro servos, The plane should weigh no more than 2&1/2 ozs. Thanks in Advance, Rich

Use a Wattage B2 (N20) motor, geared 9.67:1, and driving a GWS 9x4.7 prop. Use the lightest 3-cell Lipoly pack that can handle 1.2A max. Thrust should be just around 3oz. Use a dual B2 for even more power.

No problem

Its a simple solution to your problem, use a gws ips system. This weighs just over an ounce as standard. however...

Ok 29.2g as standard
Remove the spinner -4g 25.2g
Replace the shaft with carbon -6g 19.2g

Use something like a b or C box and underprop it to about 7 or 8" that will give you loads of power and nice low currents.
