The best in EDF since 2005

Amp draw and Watts would be a nice addition too, why is it these basic important figures never get posted? If a setup is strong and efficient there should be no reason not to post up Amps & Watts...

John,

9 or 10s with the 700-68-1680 makes a great flying jet. It's not a "speed run" jet although they put a gun on it at the event. The jet flies a full airshow routine, (and sounded good too) but I kept loosing it the viewfinder, so I edited some of the "empty sky" out.

12s setup? Probably next after I finish a few projects up.

Allready did mach alloy on 12s.....Fan can take the 60k plus RPMs all day long, but after blowing out 3 motors front bearings doing it, I had the Mega 22/75/1 with 100k bearings built.By the time I got my motor almost 6 months later, plans changed. Its to bad, would have been a heck of a ride!

Habu-32 video

This is my Habu-32. It's a TJ/80 with 1409-2Y on 8 cells with Tam's struts. Turn the volume up. Hope you enjoy it.

Joe,

Not everyone needs 160mph power. This fan puts out 8.8 lbs thrust on 9s with 1680kv motor at about 100A.
Other kv motors are possible for similar performance. IE: 1760kv on 8s.
Faster than stock, and sounds good while doing it.

On another note, What other high blade count (nice sounding)fan is flying the Habu 32 at these speeds?

You could pay nearly the same for some Wemo rotored setups. The HET motors are half the cost of the Neus.

If someone needs a wemo rotored fan, or a higher quality motor, we have those as well.

My reply was for jcdfrd, Gary. I know exactly what the fan will do.....I also bet that their Cut down Wemo fan is running past its safe zone, can not really safetly sell that setup without some liabilities....
Mach will sound good and with right motor will outrun even that setup,I just will never see it.

Only the first sentence was actually meant for you.

The remainder was general info.

I would like to see the Mach fan pushed harder then I pushed it,with some good sounding video and the speed to match which I know it can do....I do not think 11plus pounds of thrust is out of the question....

I have a Mega that I waited some time for as well. But it's similar to the 1680kv motor. It's for general flying, Not speed runs.
You have THEE motor.

Gary I was just pokin some fun, the setup is great, 160mph is plenty fast enough for a Bu32 and I loved the thrust display on take off pull to the vertical. so everyone can settle down

Joe you are correct its a cut down wemo, if I remember it is running at 53k. we have flown many with this setup and no sign of the rotor letting go or really any problems to speak of but it is uncomfortable to fly.....tooo fast!!!! lol!!!! I wasnt aware of any 12s 80mm mach setups in a Bu32 I would like to see that

It's all good John .
We are playin with the big boys. Unofficial #2 is good by me.

Here's a great acceleration display with the Viperjet. Watch the "go to full throttle" midway thru the take off run. "BANG!"...lol.
Ali really put that jet thru the ringer. It flies like that for 4:30 min till the timer goes off.

Thanks.
Of course it's heavy. With air retracts, scale struts and a 6s, 4000 in there, it's 5lbs AUW.

I should have put brakes on it, but I'm saving my last set of SAPAC air brakes for the full composite F-20.

OK, so I ordered Tam's maintenance kit because I need some spare c-clips and wanted to compare the springs anyway. But in the mean time I went ahead and removed one loop from the existing springs. That actually shored up the strut very well and there is no chance of binding any more.

Now I have to wait for nicer weather though. It's snowing.
